This is a small but beautiful spot to dine in, especially if you’re craving authentic Chinese cuisine. It is easily missed due to its tucked-away location, but absolutely worth discovering. The food is fantastic, with big portions and very reasonable prices. We tried the braised pork belly, duck ramen, and chicken chops in hot pot—all of which were delicious and full of traditional flavors. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality; we felt genuinely welcomed. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hearty, authentic Chinese meal.- Meal type

Without doubt the best place for Seafood in Chinatown. Freshly cooked in this little family run cafe, with some unique but delicious tastes. We went for the Ocean Platter for two. Everything was just perfect, sea bass, prawns, calamari. We also tried some fluffy potato croquet and fish in cheese sauce. It was so fresh and tasty..
(A advise just having rice with the platters, forgo the chips. Nothing wrong with them, but a chip is chip!)
A must visit when in China, with truly friendly and welcoming service. Don't miss out.- Service

Went in here on a whim. Was shown the old menu (Chinese food) but also their new menu. Noticed bunny chow on there…. And turns out their new menu is essentially a better version of Ocean Basket menu!!
We had this deliciously seasoned sea food platter, along with their piri piri sauce. The cheesy mussels on there were amazing.
Super friendly owner, and turns out she lived in SA for years before emigrating back to UK.
Will definitely be back again!- Service

A small independent restaurant, very cute and good delicious food. Came on occurrence and spotted this hidden gem, seems quite quiet from the outside, but don’t be afraid to eat there.

Honestly don’t judge the book by the cover, small restaurant, the last one from the alley, but truly good, food is delicious, home made taste, family owned, the women is kind and friendly, the cook is the best. Definitely my favourite now, before I used to eat at Peachy Garden, but Tung Lok is much better.

Simple, unpretentious and satisfying. Some exciting mystery items if you order from the English menu (very interested to know what the spicy water chicken with rice is!) But the special lunch menu is pretty good, and is available at weekends too.
If you want the best seafood in Birmingham, this is the place to go. Everything Auntie cooks is 10/10 and she is very kind and accommodating 😌

This is my go to place when in Birmingham which has re-opened after a lengthy closure due to an unfortunate family bereavement.
Since re-opening the Tung Lok has had a name change to Ocean Pan and has had a refurbishment which looks very nice indeed.
The food hasn't changed and is fresh, tasty and the portion sizes are filling.
The owner Amy is very welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for her.
My family will be back again for sure.- Service
